On May 11, Coconino County Search and Rescue conducted a two-hour PSAR event for 39 children with the fifth grade.
On Friday, April 1, Coconino County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue conducted a Preventative Search and Rescue (PSAR) event at Lake View Elementary School in Page. One hundred eighty kindergarten children were taught how Search and Rescue is there to help them when needed.
On Friday, May 6, 2016, 911 dispatchers received a call from the campground host for the Pine Flat Campground located in Oak Creek Canyon. According to the caller an adult female who was camping by herself failed to check out of her camping space as she was scheduled to do. The host identified the missing camper as fifty-nine year old Debra Ann Schwartz of Tempe, Arizona.
